RIVER FELLOWSHIP in Amarillo, TX, is seeking a full-time Children’s Minister to oversee children’s ministry, Birth - 5th Grade.

Qualifications
*Bachelor’s degree in education or children’s ministry
*Experience working with children in a professional setting
Position Description
The RF Kids Minister will:
1. Serve within the vision of the church as directed by the Elders and Lead Pastor.
Serve under the supervision and direction of the Lead Pastor.
2. Lead, teach, and give oversight to the Weekend Experience for children birth to 5th grade, including:
*Securing curriculum and teaching materials and appropriate teaching needs for all children’s areas.
*Recruiting, scheduling, and utilizing volunteers as appropriate, promoting a team concept.
*Maintaining a roll of attendees, members, guests, and volunteers
*Communicating with children and their parents as appropriate.
*Providing direction for future growth and space usage.
3. Plan, lead, teach, and give oversight to RF Kids events, ministries, and programs throughout the year as appropriate for children from Birth to 5th grade.
Events will be coordinated within the schedule of the overall church ministry schedule.
*Examples include events like: RiverFest, Kids Camp, VBS, One Day Summer Events, and Midweek events
4. Utilize a systematic approach, through the Weekend Experience or through other programming, to develop a strong biblical foundation in children.
5. Provide pastoral care and practical ministry to children, parents, and families as needed.
*Examples: Gifts for new-born babies; Hospital visitation; Notes of encouragement and appreciation
6. Work as a team player, assisting and encouraging pastors, staff, and volunteers as appropriate.
7. Maintain a commitment and practice of personal, spiritual, and professional advancement.
8. Promote the unity, life, and welfare of the church family.
9. Agree with and support the statement of faith and beliefs of River Fellowship.
10. Seek to live a life that honors Christ and represents the values and vision of River Fellowship.
11. Provide other duties as assigned.
